        Field Procedure

Step 1. Identify the tree species 

Step 2. Record weather condition

Step 3. Record tree circumfrence and health 

Step 4. Use pins and yarn on section of tree

Step 5. Identify Lichen species 

Step 6. Collect a peice of bark 

      Lab Procedure 

Step 1. Place bark in distilled water and let sit for 24 hours 

Step 2. By placing the PH meter in distilled water, PH levels can be measured 

Step 3. Record and place data in data sheet
